" I am practicing my balancing act so I can be in the Big Apple Circus!"

Now I will admit that Selena seems to be preoccupied with anything that has to do with balance BUT that could be a good thing! Keeping our lives in balance leads to less stress....maybe?

Sometimes our lives are just a little too balanced. We drone on day after day doing the same mundane things. No variety, no time to explore the spiritual sides of ourselves. Work, work, run, run. Even when we THINK we are doing things we enjoy...are we really?

Realistically, some of our jobs or careers are not fulfilling but they pay the bills. So back to our 15 minutes of asking ourselves a question. Can I BALANCE work, play, spirit and walk away feeling whole? What motivates me to PRACTICE? What TALENTS do I have that I would enjoy practicing? What are some of the things I've DREAMED of doing but haven't TAKEN the time to pursue?

The REAL question is WHAT IS YOUR BIG APPLE CIRCUS? Selena knows that she has to practice and balance to achieve her goal. She is aware of the fact that  she is going to fall and be disappointed at times. But then she also knows that the more she practices the better she gets and the better she feels because HER GOAL to get to the Big Apple Circus is only 17years away!!!!

Oooh Selena!!! You go ...You are such a role model... You are DREAMING, PLANNING, ACCESSING YOUR TALENTS,LEARNING TO BALANCE, AND GOAL SETTING.

Tip on that tightrope girly girl. Tip on!

Shush!!! I'm having a very IMPORTANT conversation...with myself.

What do you say to that? Well...when it comes from an adult most of the time you back away very slowly, then run. But when it comes from a 4 year old, you listen. You wonder what's so important that she needs to HEAR herself think. Hmmm....
When is the last time you had a real conversation with yourself? When is the last time you asked yourself real soul searching questions? Not the superficial mundane , "Should I have sushi for lunch or does Pantene really make my hair healthy?"
But things like," What inspired the proprietor to open that sushi bar? Is there something that I ENJOY doing so much that I could invision myself dedicating my time and energy to its POSSIBILITIES? Not necessarily for monetary gain but for FULFILLMENT. "

Take the time to ask yourself, " What makes me happy? Can I block out 15 minutes a day to hear myself THINK? What's my creative outlet? " Really think...about what's IMPORTANT...to you. Not the job, your family, your friends but what makes your batteries ENERGIZED.

Oh well I'm off to have that very important convo with moi. And by the way, Selena was trying to decide if her sister's "hee-haw" boots coordinated with her Princess Tiana outfit!

                                                     Oooh Selena! I love you....MUAH!

Life's too short to wear tight shoes!

It's time for me to come out of my constrictions! So says the wisest female I know...my 4 year old grand daughter!  This blog is inspired by her uncanny ability
to remind me and those around her to be fearless, patient and most of all to  "LIVE".
Her gusto for fulfilling her dreams, whether it be to become a ballerina or an aerialist is always accompanied by the execution of her BELIEF that if she practices enough she can do it!
Changing into 3 or 4 tutus in less than 15minutes or lining up all the belts and jump ropes she can find to 'tip on the tightrope', is no problem for her because she lives with INTENTION. If she makes a mistake, she just corrects herself and says, "Oooh Selena!", and continues on her road to stardom.
We can learn alot from children before they are swayed  by adult fears and prejudice. Lilies don't compare themselves to roses. They just grow and bask in their own glory and beauty! Be true to yourself and your dreams.Tip on the tightrope. GROW, BELIEVE and LIVE with INTENTION.  Oooh Selena!!!.....I love you.
